FC Karpaty to pay footballer Marquez EUR 600,000 in debt and compensation
FC Karpaty Lviv will pay footballer Cristobal Marquez EUR 600,000 in debts and compensation for breach of contract.
According to a statement released by the Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners law firm, which represented the interests of the footballer in his dispute with the club, such a decision was made by the Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU).
In addition, the chamber terminated Marquez's contract with Karpaty as it was breached by the club, and granted Marquez the status of a "free agent."
The decision of the FFU's Dispute Resolution Chamber can be appealed against at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
