Lviv starts pre-construction activities for sport complex for Eurobasket 2015
The pre-construction activities for the building of a multipurpose sport complex for EuroBasket 2015 has started in Lviv, the press service of Lviv city council reported on Wednesday.
According to the press service, these activities will be done by Altis Holding, which took part in the building of the terminal of Lviv airport.
The facility is to be built in spring 2015.
As reported, United Basketball Investments firm is an investor for the building of the sport complex. The complex could host several dozens of competitive sports, as well as concerts, forums and festivals. Its sitting capacity is about 10,000 people.
The future sport complex is located 6.2 kilometers from the city downtown, 1.4 kilometers from the airport, 4 kilometers from the railways, and 4 kilometers from the bus station.
In 2015, Lviv and w five other Ukrainian cities will host a final part of the European Basketball Championship.
