Metalist climbs to second place in Ukrainian Premier League
FC Metalist Kharkiv has climbed to second place in the Ukrainian Premier League after beating Hoverla Uzhgorod 1-0 at home in the last match of the 21st round.
Metalist's Brazilian midfielder, Cleiton Xavier, scored the only goal in the 69th minute with a free kick that the goalkeeper failed to keep out of the net.
After this victory, Metalist is one point ahead of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Dynamo Kyiv, which share third and fourth spots with 44 points each. Runaway leader Shakhtar Donetsk is on top of the table, 15 points ahead of Metalist.
