Ukrainian Premier League: Unified league to be legitimate only after it gets approval from UEFA and FIFA
Acting Director General of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) Petro Ivanov has said that a possible unified football league between Ukrainian and Russian clubs could be legitimate only after it gets approval from UEFA and FIFA.
"I did not participate in the discussion at Gazprom, but only listened [to the speakers]. In my opinion, the important this is that a new football association will become legitimate only if it receives a positive assessment from UEFA and FIFA. It's just improper to think otherwise," he said in an interview with Sport-Express.
