Redknapp interested in proposal to take charge of Ukraine's national football team
English football manager Harry Redknapp has said he is serious about becoming the head coach of Ukraine's national football team, the BBC reported on Wednesday.
"They are an up and coming football country with some very good young players, some great teams like Shakhtar and some great stadiums," Redknapp said.
He also added that he had not yet contacted Chelsea, which is also looking for a new coach after Roberto Di Matteo's dismissal.
The 65-year-old Redknapp earlier managed Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth and Southampton.
This summer, he was a candidate for the post of Russia manager, but sources close to him said that Redknapp was not interested in this job.
