URCS helps lonely elderly people in Ternopil region
Social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) provide assistance to lonely elderly people in Ternopil region.
"There are lonely pensioners in the region who, due to their state of health, cannot go out for groceries, cook dinner, clean an apartment or carry out basic hygiene procedures without outside help. Social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society help such people in everyday life," the URCS wrote on its Facebook page on Friday.
The society reported that 42 volunteers are currently helping 353 lonely people in Ternopil region.
The assistance in Ternopil region is provided within the framework of the Home Care project, supported by the Swiss Red Cross.
