Fourteen countries send humanitarian aid to Ukraine as Russia resumed attacks on Ukrainian energy system
After the resumption of Russian attacks on the energy system, Ukraine has received 184 humanitarian aid shipments in the form of energy equipment with a total weight of 2,336 tonnes.
"Assistance was provided by 14 countries, namely Austria, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates," the Energy Ministry of Ukraine said on Friday.
Among the equipment received are transformers, solar panels, generators, as well as electric motors, gas pipes, cables, and other equipment necessary for repairs.
"We really appreciate the support of our partners who are helping the Ukrainian energy sector in these difficult times. The equipment provided is used to repair and restore facilities that the enemy continues to mercilessly fire at," Energy Minister of Ukraine Herman Haluschenko said.
The ministry informed that about 1,900 tonnes of the received equipment have already been distributed among 57 energy companies affected by enemy attacks.
