Budanov: Enemy holding small group of forces in border area in direction of Sumy region

Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Agency (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, has said that from the very beginning the Russians planned an operation not only in Kharkiv, but also in Sumy region, but the situation has not yet allowed them to take active action.

"As for Sumy region: the Russians really planned an operation in Sumy region from the very beginning. As of now, they are holding a small group of forces in the border area in the direction of, let's say, they have this town of Sudzha, from our side, this is in Sumy direction. But the situation has not yet allowed them to take active action and start implementing their plan,” Budanov said on the telethon.
