Air defense forces destroy 20 of out of 20 Shahed-131/136 attacking Ukraine at night – Oleschuk

The air defense forces destroyed 20 out of the 20 Shahed-131/136 that attacked Ukraine at night, Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleschuk said on Tuesday morning.

"On the night of April 9, 2024, the Russian occupiers attacked by 20 Shahed-131/136 type attack UAVs from Cape Chauda - Crimea, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF, as well as by four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied Donetsk region," his Telegram channel says.

"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, all 20 Shaheds were shot down in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Vinnytsia and Lviv regions," the message says.

Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
