Zelenskyy shows Greek PM Transfiguration Cathedral destroyed by Russia in Odesa
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a joint visit to Odesa with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, showed him the Transfiguration Cathedral destroyed by Russia.
"Odesa's Transfiguration Cathedral, which had been severely damaged by a Russian missile strike. The vast majority of Russian targets are ordinary civilian facilities," Zelenskyy said on the X social network.
The President of Ukraine noted the need to restore each of them.
He also thanked Greece for its willingness to contribute to the restoration of Ukrainian cultural heritage, in particular in Odesa.
It was previously reported that the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa was damaged as a result of Russian shelling on July 23, 2023.
