AFU Air Force: Defense forces destroy 18 out of 22 Shahed-type UAVs attacking Ukraine

On the night of March 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 18 of 22 Shahed-type attack UAVs sent from the Balaklava-Crimea launch area, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) said.

"On the night of March 5, 2024, the enemy attacked the launch areas of Balaklava, Crimea with 22 attack drones of the Shahed type," the AFU said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.

Reportedly, as a result of combat work, the air defense destroyed 18 UAVs within Odesa region.

It is clarified that anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
