Air defense destroys two Kh-59 missiles, 11 of 13 Shahed UAVs attacking Ukraine at night – AFU Air Force

Air defense forces destroyed two Kh-59 missiles and 11 out of 13 Shahed missiles that attacked Ukraine at night, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday morning.

"On the night of February 27, 2024, the enemy attacked with Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Voronezh region, four Kh-59 guided aircraft missiles, one anti-radar missile – Kh-31P from occupied territory of Kherson and Donetsk regions and 13 strike of Shahed type drones from areas of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk region," the AFU said in the statement.

It is noted that as a result of combat work, the air defense destroyed two X-59 and 11 Shahed drones guided aircraft missiles within Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytsky and Kirovograd regions.

Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare systems of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are involved in repelling the air attack.
