Tarnavsky: Tavria force group's command decides to withdraw from Zenit position to south-eastern outskirts of Avdiivka

After many months of confrontation, the command of the operational-strategic group of forces decided to withdraw from the Zenit position to the south-eastern outskirts of Avdiivka, Commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of forces Oleksandr Tarnavsky said.

"After many months of confrontation, the operational-strategic group of forces command decided to withdraw from the Zenit position to the south-eastern outskirts of Avdiivka. We held this position for as long as it made it possible to effectively contain and destroy the enemy," he said on the Telegram channel.

Tarnavsky said the decision to withdraw was made in order to preserve personnel and improve the operational situation.

"The tactical occupation of these positions does not give the enemy a strategic advantage and does not change the situation within the framework of Avdiivka defense operation. Currently, the regrouping of forces, replenishment of supplies and arrangement of units in new positions continues," he said.

Planned reinforcement of units is also being carried out.
