Klitschko, Bundestag's Vice-President discuss strengthening local self-govt
Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko met in the capital with Vice-President of the German Parliament Katrin Göring-Eckardt, the mayor's press service said.
"We talked about the need to continue reforms in Ukraine, respect for democratic principles and strengthen local self-government. The Vice-President of the Bundestag assured of further assistance from Germany, in particular, in the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine both during the war and in the post-war period. Thanked Germany for the effective IRIS-T air defense system, political and economic support provided," Klitschko said following the meeting.
