Kyiv receives 130 generators from Poland – Mayor Klitschko

Kyiv has received 130 generators of various capacities from Poland, which, in the conditions of the energy crisis in Ukraine and the capital, will allow the city to strengthen the level of resilience of critical facilities and social institutions, the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko said.

"The funds for these generators were collected by Polish volunteers. In 10 days, 60,000 Poles donated PLN 80 million (almost EUR 2 million)," Klitschko said on Telegram.

In particular, the capital received 1 FD 600 D diesel generator with a capacity of 600 kW, 1 FD 80 B diesel generator with a capacity of 80 kW, 20 FOGO FV20000TE / TRE generators with a capacity of 20 kW each, and 108 FOGO F12000iSG generators with a capacity of 12 kW each.

The total capacity of the transferred equipment is 2,376 kW.

"Today, the first batch of generators purchased with charity money arrived. We expect the next one in the near future. Another shipment of aid from Warsaw is also on the way – another 90 generators," Klitschko said.

He recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has been receiving assistance from international partners. Poland has become one of the key ones. Thanks to the Poles, Ukrainians have received a lot of humanitarian aid, including for energy supply, as well as medical equipment, food and other necessary resources.
