The Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin provides consular assistance to Ukrainians involved in road accidents on the Polish-Ukrainian border, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko told Interfax-Ukraine.
"According to available information, a minibus with nine passengers, citizens of Ukraine, collided with a truck that was standing in line for border control. One citizen died, the rest received injuries of varying severity. They are now receiving medical assistance," the MFA spokesman said.
The department said Ukrainian consuls are interacting with Polish law enforcement officers to clarify all the circumstances of the accident and measures are being taken to repatriate the body of the deceased.
