Lithuanian FM calls on EU to speed up supply of rounds to Ukraine: We deliver only 300,000
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis calls on the EU to speed up the supply of 1 million artillery rounds promised to Ukraine.
"The EU promised Ukraine 1 million artillery rounds. So far we have only delivered 300,000. Meanwhile, North Korea delivered 350,000 to Russia. We surely have the resources to outperform North Korea," he said on X network.
As reported, on March 20, at a joint meeting of the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs of the European Union, it was decided to supply a million artillery rounds, including 155 mm caliber, within 12 months, that is, by March 20, 2024. This decision was confirmed by heads of state and government at the EU summit on March 24.
Western media said about the insufficient pace and volume of supplies of rounds to Kyiv.
