A woman died as a result of shelling in a suburb of Zaporizhia, an investigation has been launched, the Prosecutor General's Office reports.
"According to the investigation, on October 11, 2023, Russian troops shelled the territory of Shyroke territorial community, Zaporizhia district. A 74-year-old woman was killed. As a result of a missile, the type of which is being established, hitting the private sector, residential buildings of local residents were destroyed," the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement on its Telegram channel on Wednesday.
As reported, under the procedural leadership of the Zaporizhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pretrial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings into violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
