Denmark to provide Ukraine with 19 F-16 fighters – PM
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced the provision of 19 F-16 fighters to Ukraine.
"Today we announce that we will provide 19 F-16 fighters to Ukraine. Together with the Netherlands, we are the first country that can make a serious, unshakable commitment to provide fighter jets. And I hope that other countries will follow this example," he said in Copenhagen after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday.
According to her, "we hope and believe that the Danish fighters will help protect your sky, protect the Ukrainian people and help Ukraine regain the lands that rightfully belong to you."
"Mr. Zelenskyy, please accept this gift as a sign that the Danes support you in your struggle for freedom. We are on your side both now and in the future."
