It’s necessary to define specific deadlines for each country to limit the use of Russian energy resources - Zelensky in Lithuanian Parliament
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke in favor of defining specific deadlines for each EU country, for which it should either refuse or limit the use of Russian energy resources.
"Finally, specific deadlines should be determined for each EU state in order to really abandon or at least significantly limit the consumption of Russian gas and oil," he said speaking via video link in the Lithuanian parliament on Tuesday.
"This is the only way the Russian leadership will come to the idea that it is necessary to look for real peace, that war is a catastrophe, first of all, for them," the President of Ukraine said.
According to him, "Europe's reaction to Russia's aggression should be strong, we cannot wait for the development of the sixth, seventh, tenth package of sanctions against Russia to make truly powerful decisions."
"Oil must be included in the sixth package, Russian banks must be sanctioned, but that's it," Zelensky said.
