Opinion that Putin's aggression should not be identified with ordinary Russians may become untruthful trend in Europe - Podoliak
The proposal by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to separate Russian President Vladimir Putin as the initiator of the war against Ukraine and ordinary citizens of Russia is an attempt to justify his indecision, but it is worth remembering that the majority of Russians support the war, adviser to the head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak said.
"Chancellor Olaf Scholz, seeking to justify his indecision, proposes to separate ordinary Russians and Putin as the author of the war. In Europe, this may become an untrue trend. Because officially 71% of Russians categorically support the war against Ukraine and the massacres of our citizens. Keep this in mind," Podoliak wrote on Twitter on Friday.
