Serious news related to Ukraine's EU membership expected this week – FM
This week there will be serious news related to Ukraine's membership in the EU, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said.
"Some of those countries that were negative now really support us. Some still do not. But wait. There will be serious news this week related to our EU membership. The president and the prime minister and the deputy prime minister are working on this, both I and our ambassadors are all working," Kuleba said live on Facebook on Monday.
Kuleba said he would not yet say which specific countries now take a skeptical position on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
The minister said that a week ago, before joining the EU, Ukraine was approximately the same as from Kyiv to the Moon.
"And now our accession to the EU is something like from Kyiv to Vinnytsia," the minister said.
