Already 1 million Ukrainians cross EU borders - Borrell

Already 1 million Ukrainians have crossed the borders of the European Union, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell stated.

He said they provided Ukraine with weapons so that they could defend their land, their nation. They provide assistance to refugees. Already 1 million people have crossed the EU borders, and, unfortunately, more will come. He said they are imposing sanctions that will really have an impact on the Russian economy, the value of its currency. These will have huge implications, as we said earlier, Borrell said ahead of an extraordinary meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Friday.
