Case opened on fact of death of two civilians in Sumy region – PGO
The prosecutor's office opened criminal proceedings on the death of two civilians in a car near Konotop in Sumy region, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) reports.
"Under the procedural leadership of Konotop District Prosecutor's Office, a pretrial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is being carried out," the PGO said in a statement posted on the department's telegram channel.
The report notes that, according to the investigation, on February 28, 2022, when leaving the village of Sloboda of Konotop region, the military of the Russian Federation fired at the car. Two men died.
