Fights for Mariupol continue – National Police

Units of the National Police together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the defense of Mariupol, the press service of the National Police has reported.

"Fighting for Mariupol continues. Units of the National Guard of Ukraine, together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are holding the defense of the city. In particular, equipment and units of the Russian army in the vicinity are being destroyed," the police statement said in a telegram on Wednesday.

According to the National Police, aerial reconnaissance is actively used to detect the movement of occupiers' equipment.

"Our defenders with an accurate artillery strike destroyed the Lynx armored car and the Kamaz truck in the village of Stary Krym, near Mariupol," the police said.
