Poroshenko receives 53.7% from Ukrainian voters abroad, Zelensky – 44.83% - CEC with 97% of protocols processed
Results from the foreign constituency in Ukraine's run-off second round of the presidential election show incumbent President Petro Poroshenko receiving the support of 53.7% of voters, while 44.83% voter for showman Volodymyr Zelensky, according to results from the Central Election Commission with 97.02% of electronic protocols processed.
Some 101 polling stations have been created in the foreign constituency. They are hosted by the embassies and consulates of Ukraine abroad. Most of them are in Germany (five), the United States, Poland, Italy (four in each country), three are in Canada, Spain, and Turkey each.
As of 8:00 on Monday, the CEC had received protocols from 98 foreign polling stations, where 56,772 Ukrainian citizens cast ballots. According to the CEC date, Poroshenko received more votes in 45 of the 72 countries where Ukrainians voted.
Some 30,487 Ukrainian citizens abroad voted for Poroshenko, compared to 25,451 for Zelensky.
