Ukrainian sailors captured by Russia are prisoners of war – Klimkin
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said that Ukrainian military sailors captured in the Sea of Azov are prisoners of war.
"I'd like to emphasize that, in accordance with international law, the status of captured crews must be considered in accordance with the Geneva Convention of 1949. Thus, our sailors are prisoners of war," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
