Tymoshenko calls for referendum on Ukraine's joining NATO

Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has called for formalizing Ukraine's aspiration to join NATO with a referendum and a constitutional amendment.

"The issue of Ukraine's entry into NATO is still dividing Ukraine. A final decision should be made in the Verkhovna Rada, by including this provision in a constitutional amendment, as well as in an all-Ukraine referendum," Tymoshenko said at the forum "A New Peace and Security Strategy" in Kyiv on Tuesday.
