Trident Juncture-18 drills designed to confirm NATO's readiness to respond to new threats, incl. hybrid war – Poroshenko
The multinational exercises of NATO member and partner countries in Norway with the participation of Ukraine are designed to confirm the Alliance's readiness to respond to new types of threats, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said.
"The multinational exercises Trident Juncture-18 started in Norway with the participation of NATO member countries and partners. Ukraine is among them. These powerful exercises are designed to confirm the Alliance's readiness to respond to new types of threats, in particular, hybrid warfare and propaganda," Poroshenko wrote on Facebook on Friday.
He stressed that Ukraine would continue strengthening the qualification of its military personnel and its military potential.
"Everyone understands that Ukraine today is on guard for the European security, because the aggressor country is next to us that threatens not only our country," Poroshenko noted.
