Ukraine confirms its loyalty to settlement of Donbas war by extending law on special status of ORDLO
French Ambassador to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont has welcomed the extension by the Verkhovna Rada of the law on a special procedure for local self-government in certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions (ORDLO).
"I welcome the continuation by the Parliament of the law of Ukraine "On the special order of local self-government in certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which proves Ukraine's dedication to resolving the war in Donbas," Dumont wrote on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
Earlier on Thursday, the Verkhovna Rada supported the presidential legislative initiative, by which the special order of local self-government in certain regions of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions (ORDLO) will be extended until December 31, 2019.
