Ex-Ambassador Armen Sargsyan elected Armenian president
The Armenian parliament has elected former Prime Minister and Ambassador to the UK Armen Sargsyan Armenia's president; Sargsyan was the only candidate to the position.
Sargsyan won by 90 votes to 10, and one ballot paper was declared invalid. The victory required at least 79 votes out of 105.
