Ukrainian, Romanian FMs to meet in Chernivtsi on Jan 11
Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and his Romanian counterpart Teodor Viorel Melescanu will hold a meeting in Chernivtsi on Thursday, January 11.
"The foreign ministers plan to discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation at the interstate and regional levels and it is expected that the ministers will also discuss the provision of educational rights for the Romanian national minority and the implementation of the provisions of the new law of Ukraine "On Education," taking into account the conclusions of the Venice Commission," the press service of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported.
In addition, a meeting of Ukrainian and Romanian foreign ministers with the leadership of the Chernivtsi regional state administration and the city of Chernivtsi, as well as with representatives of the activists of the Romanian community of the region, is scheduled.
