Ukraine plans to develop partnership with NATO in energy security matters
The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine has sent a letter of intent of partnership to the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, a representative of the Center Rimantas Sikas said at a research and practical conference in Kyiv organized by the National Institute for Strategic Studies.
Sikas said such cooperation is already being implemented, in particular the Coherent Resilience 2017 command post exercises on the protection of Ukraine's critical electricity structure have been conducted recently, an Energy Reform correspondent reported.
According to him, a group of American experts is currently preparing a report on the results of the exercises.
Thanks to participation in the work of the Center, Ukraine will have access to their information base and best energy security practices of NATO member countries, the Office of the Vice Premier for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration said earlier.
