Over 1,100 people killed in fire in Ukraine in 2017
Over 1,100 people have been killed and over 1,000 were injured as a result of fires in Ukraine since the beginning of this year, the State Service for Emergency Situations has reported.
"Since the beginning of the year the number of those killed and injured in fires is 1,113 and 1,076 people respectively," reads a statement posted on the service's website on Saturday.
At the same time, 94 fires broke out in the country's residential sector over the past day, killing three people and injuring one.
