State Border Service to introduce post of precinct border officer – Tsyhykal
The State Border Service of Ukraine plans to introduce the post of precinct border officers to work with local population, Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Petro Tsyhykal said.
"We plan to introduce such a notion as a precinct border officer, who should work in village councils, work with the local population, should raise the awareness of locals," Tsyhykal said on the air of Channel 5, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported on Saturday.
He noted that the existing staff of the State Border Service would be used to fill the new positions.
Earlier, Tsyhykal said that the State Border Service subdivisions were manned by 60%-70%, the Interior Ministry recalled.
