Some 162,000 Ukrainians enter EU under visa-free travel, 55 denied entry
As of August 4, more than 162,000 Ukrainian citizens have used the right of the visa-free entry to the European Union, Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Petro Tsyhykal has said.
"The number of refusals is 0.03%, only 55 people. Of these, 18 exceeded the maximum period of stay and 37 failed to confirm the purpose of their trip," Tsyhykal said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
He also said that the issue with queues at the border has been essentially solved.
"A number of measures have been taken in response to the president's instruction, including the redirection of flows, and the allocation of individual lanes for cars with foreign numbers to ease the traffic on other lanes," Tsyhykal explained.
