Law restoring Ukraine's policy aimed at NATO membership will come into force on July 9
The law on amendments to certain laws of Ukraine regarding Ukraine's foreign policy, which restores Ukraine's policy aimed at NATO membership, was published in the Holos Ukrainy parliamentary newspaper on Saturday, July 8.
Thus, the document will come into force on July 9.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed this law on July 6.
The Verkhovna Rada on June 8 this year defined the deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO with the aim of gaining membership in this organization as the basis of foreign policy (bill No. 6470). The law provides for amending the laws on the fundamentals of domestic and foreign policy, which was adopted on July 1, 2010, and the law on the fundamentals of the national security of Ukraine adopted on June 19, 2003.
