Ukrainian and American officials are discussing the possibility of dispatching a long-term coast guard advisor to consult Ukraine's Border Service officials.
"Ukrainian and American officials discussed the possibility of sending a U.S. Coast Guard official to Ukraine," Ukraine's Border Service's press service said following talks in Washington, D.C.
First Deputy Border Service of Ukraine Vasyl Servatiuk visited the U.S. from June 12 through June 16. His delegation met with U.S. Coast Guard officials.
The sides discussed cooperation and U.S. assistance for reforming Ukraine's Border Service.
