Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will visit Ukraine in 2017 as part of his tour across Europe, Ukrainian ambassador to Australia Mykola Kulinich has said.
"We have begun to prepare the Australian prime minister's visit to Ukraine. I meet with his assistants on Monday. We will be talking about specific moments of this preparation. We are now discussing that within the framework of the European tour of the Australian prime minister he will visit us. We have an agenda and have something to talk about," he said during a Skype-talk on Wednesday.
The ambassador also noted that Ukraine is one of the priority directions of the foreign policy of Australia.
The diplomat said that the possibility of visiting Ukraine by the delegation of Australian parliamentarians is also being considered at the level of inter-parliamentary relations.
