Ukrainian Film Agency to assign UAH 24 mln for film about Donetsk airport defenders
The Ukrainian State Film Agency has decided to assign UAH 23.97 million to produce to the film, titled Cyborgs, which will be shot by director of Haytarma (2012) Akhtem Seitablayev.
"On December 19, the State Film Agency of Ukraine and IDAS Film company have concluded a contract for the provision of UAH 23.974 million of state financial support for the film Cyborgs. The total production cost is estimated at UAH 47.947 million," the State Film Agency said in a post on its official Facebook page on Monday.
According to the report, Cyborg is dedicated to Ukrainian soldiers who protect the country's integrity and independence in the east. The film tells the story of several weeks in September 2014 when a group of volunteer soldiers first arrive in Donetsk airport, which was been under siege for four months.
