ASF cases recorded in Mykolaiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr regions
Specialists of the Ukraine's State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Rights Protection in the past several days received confirmation of African swine fever (ASF) diagnosed during the examination of the selected samples of biological material of pigs died in Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr and Poltava regions.
The press service reported on Tuesday that on December 8 in Ochakiv (Mykolaiv region) one pig out of two died in a private household.
In addition, ASF was recorded in Fakel forest area in Poltava region after testing biological material of a wild boar.
On December 10, 25 pigs died in Rudnia-Horodysche, Zhytomyr region) at a private farm. The farm breeds 394 pigs.
Measures are being taken to localize the disease on the site of the outbreak and prevent the spread of ASF pathogens.
