Kyiv puts arrested spying in Russia suspect Suschenko on swap lists
Journalist of the Ukrinform national news agency Roman Suschenko, who is arrested in Russia, was put on the lists of "prisoners for swapping", Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) head Vasyl Hrytsak said.
As reported, the Russian Federal Security Service agents arrested Suschenko in Moscow on September 30. Moscow's Lefortovo Court arrested him for two months in an espionage criminal case on October 1. Moscow City Court at a closed-door session declined his lawyer Mark Feygin's appeal against arrest and upheld the Lefortovo court's ruling.
Kyiv called the detention of the journalist a provocation, the charge of espionage against him false.
