Bill on Constitutional Court of Ukraine submitted to Rada
Ukrainian MPs – members of the Judicial Reform Council have submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the presidential administration reported.
"The submission of the bill on the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is an example of effective joint work of Ukrainian and foreign experts in constitutional law, lawmakers and representatives of civil society in the framework of the Judicial Reform Council," the deputy head of the presidential administration and the coordinator of the Judicial Reform Council, Oleksiy Filatov, has said.
This bill is aimed at implementing the amendments to the Constitution as regards the judicial system, which entered into force on September 30, 2016, concerning the procedure of organization and activities of the Constitutional Court, the status of the Constitutional Court judges, sets out rules for the grounds and procedure of appeal to the Court of Justice, procedures for revision of cases and enforcement of judgments.
