Donbas-based militants have been firing mortars on residential areas of the town of Toretsk, in Donetsk region, since 06:30 on Thursday morning, chief of the Ukrainian National Police's department in Donetsk region Viacheslav Abroskin said, adding that information on injuries was not yet available.
"Militants started firing mortars on Toretsk at 06:30. The peaceful town's residential areas came under fire at 07:20. [Houses] on Festivalna and Pavlov Streets were hit. Police have not so far received any information on injured civilians," Abroskin said on his Facebook account on Thursday morning.
In his words, police will examine the damaged facilities as soon as the shelling ends.
