German foreign minister to visit Kramatorsk, Slovyansk in Ukraine's Donetsk region on Sept 15 - OSCE
KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) - German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will go to eastern Ukraine on September 15, as part of his two-day visit to the country.
Steinmeier and OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier are to meet with OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) chief monitor Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan and an SMM patrol in Kramatorsk, the Donetsk region, the OSCE said in a release on Wednesday.
Steinmeier commended the role of media in monitoring the situation in eastern Ukraine, it said.
This visit is dedicated to the humanitarian situation there. In Slovyansk (the Donetsk region) Steinmeier will meet with internally displaced persons, the OSCE said.
