Melnychuk resigns from Kyiv region governor post, PGO studying his involvement in bribe case
Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office is investigating into the involvement of Maksym Melnychuk who recently urgently sent in resignation from the post of head of Kyiv Regional Administration in the case regarding his deputy detained red-handed.
"Investigators are studying the role of Melnychuk who several days ago urgently resigned in this case," Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko wrote on his Facebook page.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on September 9 signed order No. 389/2016 on the dismissal of the Kyiv Regional Administration head.
