Verkhovna Rada gives its consent to arrest judge Chaus
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported the recommendation of the General Prosecutor's Office to grant consent to detain and arrest (take into custody) Kyiv Dniprovsky District Court judge Mykola Chaus.
On Tuesday, 281 deputies and 279 peoples deputies, respectively, voted for the relevant draft resolutions No. 5070 and No. 5071, according to an Interfax-Ukraine agency correspondent.
The Verkhovna Rada Speaker of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy has immediately signed two resolutions.
Chaus is in Crimea now, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported.
