Over half of Donbas truce breaches observed in Yasynuvata, Avdiyivka, Donetsk airport
Most of the truce violations occur in the towns of Yasynuvata and Avdiyivka in Donetsk region and around Donetsk Airport, according to Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug.
Like last week, most of the violence is concentrating around Yasynuvata, Avdiyivka and Donetsk Airport, with 58% of all truce breaches observed precisely in this area, he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
While in Yasynuvata, which is controlled by the Donetsk People's Republic, the SMM staff observed a salvo of approximately 20 Grad rockets, 51 explosions of unidentified origin, and approximately 40 mortar round explosions, and that in just two hours, Hug said.
Other hotspots remain east and southeast of Mariupol, on the western and northwestern edges of Horlivka and on the road between Debaltseve and Svitlodarsk, he said.
