Foreign Ministry recommends Ukrainians to 'realistically assess threat of going to Russia'
Ukrainians should assess the possible threat of unjustified detention in Russia when planning trips to this country, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine recommends.
"The Foreign Ministry recommends citizens of Ukraine, when planning trips to the Russian Federation, realistically assess the risks and threats that exist and the need for implementation of such trips," the ministry's consular service department stated.
In its recommendations, the ministry expressed concern over the fact of the continuing cases of unjustified detention of Ukrainian citizens in the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as due to inhuman treatment of Ukrainians by Russian law enforcement agencies, use of inappropriate methods of physical and psychological impact, including torture.
