No headway made in Minsk negotiations yet on issue of release of prisoners in Donbas
Participants in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine have still not been able to achieve progress on the issue of the release of prisoners in Donbas, OSCE Special Representative Martin Sajdik told reporters in Minsk on Wednesday.
Sajdik said no progress has yet been achieved on the issue of the release of persons held during the conflict. He said that the subgroup coordinator had called on its members to intensify the work to release the sick and the wounded as a priority.
He also said the subgroup on economic issues had discussed issues relating to water supply, railway management restructuring and payments in Donbas.
There are considerable problems with railway communication, including those related to the social rights of railway workers, Sajdik said.
